10 inexpensive fall date night ideas.
Go for a Sunday drive.

There are many scenic byways and routes that afford amazing views any time of the year, but fall is especially appealing when the leaves are changing color. Pack a picnic lunch, a favorite CD, and traverse the backroads of your county or state.

Plan a night away.

Groupon Getaways offers amazing deals on select attractions and if you pay attention, you may find a package that offers a hotel and attractions package for a great deal.  And while you’re packing, don’t forget to pack something special to heat up the evening. Adore Me offers a large selection and size range of quality lingerie that will be perfect for your getaway.

Go to a fall festival.

Fall festivals are notorious for great food which will be a perfect time to try something new. Deep fried oreos or fried pickles? Yes, please.  Check your state tourism site for ideas of where to go and what to do. From harvest festivals, to pumpkin shows, to county fairs, you should find plenty of possibilities.

Follow a wine trail.

What could be more romantic then sipping wine with a gorgeous vineyard view as the sun begins to set? This is a fun activity even if you’re not avid wine drinkers, as a tasting will allow you to sample several varieties of wine to determine what you like, or don’t.

Attend a local paint night.

Paint Nights are popping up all over the country. Whether they’re in your local pub, or in the art museum in a nearby city, paint nights are a fun way to spend time together and get creative.

Take a hike or bike ride together .

With lower temperatures and less bugs, fall is a great season to get outdoors and take a hike or bike ride. State parks in the U.S. offer a wide range of trail options for hikers. From easy, paved trails, to intense treks that climb to amazing views, challenge yourself to get outdoors and soak up some Vitamin D before the snow flies. Many cities also offer bike paths and trails for bikers so you won’t even need to travel far.

Plan a movie night.

Sometimes it’s hard to plan a night away from the kids and I get that. Order pizza and play a game with the kids before tucking them into bed early so you and your honey can curl up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and watch a romantic movie. Find something on Netflix and pick up some movie size candies at the store and sit back and enjoy.

Visit an apple orchard and pick apples.

Spend an afternoon picking a peck or bushel of apples then go home and bake an apple pie or make caramel apples together. Simple and tasty, what more could you ask for?

Go tailgating.

Sometimes it’s nice to get out and visit with other people and I can’t help but think of fall without football and tailgating.
