4 Enchantingly Romantic Parisian Hotels

Summer is one of the best times to go to Paris.  The weather is darn near perfect, but everyone knows it, so flights (and hotels) go up in price.  It’s worth it if  you’re okay spending a little more money, but if you’re looking to save without being burdened with the frost-bitten winds of winter, plan a trip for the fall.  Besides saving money, you’ll get to walk the Champs-Élysées with the changing leaves, enjoy every attraction as they won’t be closed for August holidays, and dodge the summer crowds.

Once you get your flight booked to The City of Love, the next step is booking romantic accommodations.  Here are four enchantingly romantic Parisian hotels for every budget level:

Le Meurice

Le Meurice is at the top of the budget scale, but with good reason.  This luxe hotel, dating back to 1815, has hosted kings and presidents, shahs and celebrities, and all those willing to spend more on luxury.  Since it moved to its current location, it overlooks the historic Tuileries Gardens between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde.  It also hosts a three Michelin starred restaurant that will cost you more than your airfare, but promises to be worth the price. The soundproofed rooms are nothing short of opulent, with marble bathrooms and period furniture.

Booking tip: At the time of this writing, had the lowest price for a stay at Le Meurice.

Saint James Paris

Prefer to stay in a boutique hotel? Saint James Paris still offers luxury, but does it at half the price of Le Meurice.  The only chateau-hotel in the city, it sits on Paris’ first airfield.  When we say first, we mean first:  the aircraft flown were hot air balloons.  If the room’s gilded headboards, crystal chandeliers, and views overlooking the hotel’s rare-for-Paris greenspace aren’t enough, you can up the romance by heading to their full spa.

Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel

The deserving epicenter of Parisian romance is the Eiffel Tower.  Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel offers stellar views of the iconic landmark, and does it at a reasonable price.  The modern rooms are a bit smaller than the first two on our list, but that’s fitting of the Paris experience.  Many of the main attractions are short walk away, and for those that aren’t, you can easily get to the metro station within five minutes.

Booking Tip: Try booking directly through the hotel group.  Right now, Accor Hotels is offering 40% off many locations, and has an additional 10% off promo code.  If at all possible, book room 1038 for the best of the best in breathtaking views.

Hotel Esmeralda

For those on a shoestring budget, and not afraid of tight spaces, Hotel Esmeralda does the trick.  The romantic boutique hotel sits just across the river from Notre Dame, and is named after the Hunchback of Notre Dame’s unrequited love.  The building itself is a relic of the 17th century hosting a winding  staircase that takes you up to the attic rooms with the best view of the famed cathedral.  Quiter rooms face an inner courtyard in the back.

Whatever your budget, a romantic and memorable Parisian vacation is possible.
