Acer Aspire One Review

I purchased my Acer Aspire Netbook in September of 2010 and have not regretted doing so. I am now looking to upgrade to another Acer product.

The Acer Aspire One that I purchased had a 1GB memory, 1.60 GHz processor, 150 GBS hard drive, comes fully loaded with Window XP student which is totally upgradable. It has a built in Video cam, Wii enabled, bluetooth. The new netbooks are now preloaded with Windows 7.

I found that opening programs on my netbook to be pretty easy and they opened quickly. They slow down a bit if you have too many programs running at the same time so it’s best to keep your processes to a minimum.

My Acer Aspire One has never let me down. I am a freelancer working from home and this has been my only source of support. When I turn my computer on in the mornings, it stay on all day until I go to bed at night which is usually between 10:30 and midnight.

I run my 4G broadband on it. Sometimes I activate the wireless and if that network is down I run the 3G on it. I find it very reliable when it comes to anyone of the networks.

The memory is not really upgradeable so you have to make sure you are not running too many programs that feed off the memory.

I paid $350 at the time. Since then the price for the Acer Aspire one has greatly been reduced and you can get it at various online stores for in the region of US$250 – $400. This all depends on the series and features. If you purchase directly from the Acer store you can count on a huge discount with some good deals and discounts online. This mini computer is one of the most affordable of its kind.

What I love most about my Acer Aspire One

  • Small compact and easy to carry around. When I worked out of town I used to travel with it and it was easy as I got a travel case with straps.
  • I love that it is game friendly and I play a lot of internet games on it.
  • I love that shade of blue mine comes in
  • I have never had a program installing stuff
  • It doesn’t go freezing up like other computers I had

All I can say is that this netbook is ideal for teens or anyone needing a small or mini computer to surf the net, study, work or just mess around with.
