As determined to continue the legacy of Android platform smart phones, here comes HTC EVO 4G LTE. Yes, it can be termed as the successor of HTC EVO 4G which was launched two years back and gave a new leash of life to Sprint. But another in line, HTC EVO 3D didn’t gain much popularity. The Taiwan based HTC was in the global limelight recently with powerful HTC One X (AT&T) which is one of the latest and best smart phones in the Android platform. The gadget world is curiously watching to know the fate of EVO 4F LTE which will unfold as time passes by.
The feather light HTC EVO 4G LTE is also sporting a massive display screen like the HTC One series, and is very thin and lean compared to HTC One S and the HTC One X. EVO 4G LTE is also packed with new features which are not seen in other smart phones. The double layered back panel is very sturdy and strong with micro-arc oxidation and hard plastic which is separated by a hardcore kickstand. EVO 4G LTE is powered by LTE-compatible Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, which includes a 1.5GHz dual-core Krait CPU and an Adreno225 GPU while AT&T’s One X, was built on NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3 chipset.
Even though the little lows and highs on grounds of performance and responsiveness might not be so glaring, there will still be a difference. EVO 4G LTE’s User Interface is Sense 4.0 and is running very fast on top of Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, except for certain differences which are entailed by the carrier for apps. With NFC, Google wallet and many more apps will be right at your finger tips, it can easily be customized for your personal home screens, even the with automatic weather forecasts every morning.
Another highlight of EVO 4G LTE is its rear 8-megapixel camera, which can capture images and can simultaneously record 1080p videos. There is also a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. With the dedicated HTC “ImageSense” chip, the Smartphone assures of increased camera functionality, such as the ability to shoot pictures in burst mode. Out of the many application featured on the UI of HTC Sense is filters which also helps in real-time quick preview of the images. On the whole, this can also be viewed as Sprint’s version of HTC One Series.
The Smartphone was to be released in May 18th but as a result of the recent developments and disputes on patent issue by HTC and Apple, the launch of HTC EVO 4G LTE in the market is facing a delay and how long and how much worth is the wait is for us to wait and watch!
