Just a Few of the Things I am Thankful For

Thanksgiving is just around the corner. The time where we reflect on all of our many blessings and share those things for which we are thankful. I do not want to let my opportunity to share my gratitude, and what better way to do that than to share with my readers?

I will not take the time to share all my blessings, as we would be here all day, and you would probably quickly become bored. So, here are just a few of my many blessings, and the things I am most thankful for:

myfamily

  • My family – I cannot image my life without my husband or our 8 children. Yes, life is crazy. Yes, there are times when things get so chaotic I’m afraid I’ll never regain control, I wouldn’t trade it in for all the money in the world.

  • Our home – After 14 years of marriage, my husband and I have finally purchased a home! No more landlords. (Of course, that often means we’re spending more money to fix it – but that’s OK, it’s OURS.) Our home isn’t big. It certainly isn’t fancy. And with 10 people living inside of it, it’s always a little chaotic. But, I love everything about it. I love sitting on my porch, listening to the sounds of the kids as they run around our yard and play. What could be sweeter? The best part is, I can use promo codes from stores like Jet.com to save money on the every day items we need.
  • My friends – I am blessed with some wonderful friends. Some are halfway around the world, some live just a few minutes away, and some are scattered across the country. Many of my friends are part of my church, although they fit more like “family” rather than just friends. No matter who they are, or how long I’ve known them, I’ve been blessed to have exactly the friends I’ve needed at exactly the time I neededĀ  the most. One of my favorite things to do is get out with friends. Promo codes from Total Rewards help to make a night out affordable.

  • My freedom – With Veteran’s Day just around the corner, I absolutely must thank those who have sacrificed for my freedoms. My Dad was in the Army, my Uncle was also in the Army, my husband’s Grandfather was in the navy, and my husband’s cousin is in the Marines. Not to mention all of the friends and loved ones I have who are in different branches of the military or have served in years past. I am so very thankful for the love they have for their country and their willingness to defend our freedoms. I can worship the God I want, I can go to church, I can send my children to school, and I have so many more freedoms because of them.

I know there aren’t much listed, but I am so thankful for all of those blessings. I have been blessed.

Take time to share your blessings with someone today!
