Fall is here, and before you know it, it’ll be gone. You don’t want to miss out on all of the wonderful opportunities to spend time with your family this fall. Before winter blows in, why not take the time to sit down with your family and create a Fall Bucket List? A bucket list is a list of things you want to do before a certain amount of time passes. Gather everyone in the family into one room, and sit in a circle. Go around the circle and ask each family member to mention something that they’d like to do during th fall season. You can go around the circle a few times so you wind up with a nice list of things to pick and choose from. The goal is to get to everything on the list,

There are tons of ideas for things you can add to your fall bucket list. The kids might want to make their own list, and the grown ups might want to make their own list, too. You could also have each family member make up their own personal list.

Here are some popular fall bucket list ideas to get you started:

Go to a pumpkin patch and corn maze. It’s so much fun to visit a true pumpkin farm and pluck your pumpkin fresh off the vine! You can choose the perfect size pumpkin, but just keep in mind that you usually have to pay per pound for those pumpkins! A corn maze is a great way to spend time together! See which family member can make it out of the maze in the shortest amount of time! Chances are that the pumpkin patch or farm will have a little general store. Look for fresh honey sticks- they’re so delicious!

Have a bonfire. You can create a DIY firepit, or purchase a portable firepit for your own backyard. Set it up in the yard and situate a few chairs around the fire. Pull out cozy scarves and warm blankets to cuddle up in, and gather the family around the warm glow of the fire. Pennington’s has all sorts of beautiful scarves for the fall season. You can even roast marshmallows or make smores!

Do some fall baking. Baking as a family can be a lot of fun. Ask everyone to jot down their favorite fall treat. Get together once every couple of weeks to bake together. You can make all sorts of goodies from pumpkin spice cake to cinnamon rolls! You might even consider boxing up some of the baked goods and sharing with friends and family!

Your family bucket list doesn’t have to be long, and it doesn’t have to be filled with activities that will cost you a lot of money. Choose simple activities that everyone will enjoy, and include things on the list that you think you’ll actually be able to do. It’s okay to include a few ‘dream items’ on your list… you never know, those fall bucket list wishes just might come true!
