Give your doggie a day of pampering at a local doggie spa. You can give them a complete grooming package, so they’ll be looking and feeling their very best. Dogs need to be groomed regularly, so if it’s been a while since your dog last had a spruce-up, Valentine’s Day is a great time to treat them. You could include a relaxing pet massage, special exercise, and then follow that up with a wash, a nail trim, and fur trim, too. Some doggie salons will even paint your dog’s nails, if you desire. PetSmart offers in-store grooming services, and you can receive up to 50% off on Grooming Sevices.

After your pal is all cleaned up, why not take them to the park for some activity. If you live near a large park with walking or hiking trails, take your dog on a nice long walk. It’ll do you both some good to spend some time bonding out in the fresh air. If going to the park isn’t an option, try to find an indoor area that’s large enough for you to play a game of fetch. Dogs need plenty of exercise, and so do their humans.

Plan a special meal for your pup. Giving your dog table food probably isn’t something you should do very often, but every now and then, it’s okay to give them a special treat. Perhaps mix some fresh cooked meat into their food dish, and add a little gravy to moisten it up. You can mix it with their dry dog food for a flavorful treat. For dessert, why not bake them their very own doggie cake? There are tons of online recipes for special cakes that are safe for dogs to eat. Dogs really love peanut butter, so try incorporating that into your cake. You could also bale a special batch of homemade dog biscuits, and just give them to your pup as special treats.

Surprise your pup with a new collar, and a new toy. Rope toys are a lot of fun for larger dogs who love to tug and play rough. A special plush toy might make your dog feel even more secure and loved. At the end of the day, curl up on the couch with your dog, and spend some quality time with them. You could pop a movie in, and cuddle up, just enjoying some time together. Dogs need a lot of love and attention, so spend some time just taling to them, stroking their fur, and rubbing their warm bellies. Don’t forget to snap a few photos of your pal on Valentine’s Day, so you’ll be able to look back on those wonderful memories down the road.
